Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number at the breech and “Remington / MODEL 700” at the midsection. The left side of the barrel is marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC. ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A.” above a host of patent numbers followed by “.243 WIN.”. The right side of the chamber is marked with an inspection mark and “LE F”. The right side of the barrel is marked with inspectors marks at the breech. The bottom of the bolt is matched and hand-marked “8414”.

Barrel Length: 24” Heavy

Sights / Optics: The barrel has no provision for iron sights. The receiver is installed with a pair of two-piece bases that secures a pair of Weaver rings holding a Pentax Gameseeker 3-15×50 scope. The scope has a few rubs and a couple of tiny nicks into the finish. The scope has a Precision Plex reticle and the glass is clear. The scope rates in Fine Plus condition.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is skipline checkered wood with black caps, white spacers, brasS reinforcing pin on the left, and a fluted Monte Carlo comb with a cheekpiece. There are a few light handling marks and draglines. The pistol grip cap has a small chip loss on the right edge. There are a few scuffs that have thinned the finish and a few tiny marks into the finish, most noticeable on the belly. The checkering is intact and strong. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures approximately 13 1/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the checkered black hard rubber buttplate which displays some lightly flattened checkers and some little scrapes at the heel and toe. The stock rates in about Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its metal finish. The bolt handle has some little pinpricks under the finish. There is some thinning on the edges, most noticeable on the muzzle. There are a few little marks through the finish, most noticeable on the top of the barrel at about the front of the sight and on the right of the receiver towards the front. There is light handling and standard operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are strong. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: The rifle is installed with the previously described scope.
