Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “—The Marlin Firearms Co.-EST. 1870— / —NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. – MODEL 336- R.C. 30-30 CAL”. The right side of the barrel at the receiver is marked with a circled “JM” proof. The lower tang is marked “E5443”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a brass beaded blade dovetailed into the barrel. The rear sight is a semi buckhorn blade with U notch and elevator.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two piece smooth wood with hard rubber buttpad. The stocks show handling and storage marks with compressions, scratches, and scuffs present. There are no chips or cracks. The forend shows darkening in front of the barrel band. The LOP measures 13 ?” from the front of the trigger to the back of the hard rubber buttplate. The buttplate shows moderate wear with no chips or cracks. The stocks rate in about Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 90% of its metal finish. The balance of finish shows thinning along edges plus light handling wear with a few little scuffs. The grooved portion of the top of the receiver shows drag lines that scratch through the finish. The lever shows finish loss, normal from use. There are a few spots of light oxidation on the barrel surface. The muzzle shows finish loss along the edge, the crown is unaffected. The markings are clear. The screw heads are tooled with turnable slots. Overall this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
