Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO., INC., ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. / BROWNING’S U.S. PATS. 689,283 – 710,094 – 730,870 – 812,326” followed by “U.S.” and the flaming bomb. The bottom of the chamber has inspection marks. The mag tube hanger lug is marked “945”. The left of the receiver marked “U.S.” followed by the flaming bomb, “PROPERTY OF U.S. AIR FORCE”, and “Remington / TRADE MARK / MODEL 11 / 310945″. The left side of the barrel is marked “12 GA. FOR 2 ¾ OR SHORTER SHELLS” and “EJ” followed by inspection marks. The right side of the barrel has the REP proof mark in oval and an inspection mark. The bottom tang is marked “M”. The flat-bottom pistol grip is stamped “U.S.” and the belly is stamped with a flaming bomb. The belly has an inlaid sling swivel mount marked “RP”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a brass bead set on the front of the barrel. The receiver is serrated to reduce glare.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece smooth walnut with a flat-bottom pistol grip, straight comb, and black hard rubber buttplate. The top of the wrist has large chip loss repairs to either side of the tang. There are a few little compressions and draglines. The most noticeable on the left of the buttstock and the bottom of the forend. The forend has a few dings into the finish. There are no unrepaired chips or cracks. The tang fitment is imprecise. The LOP measures approximately 14 1/8″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The buttplate has some little scratches and dings. Overall, the stocks are in about Fine condition as Repaired.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with scattered freckles of faint surface erosion.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 95% of its current metal finish. There is some erosion under the finish, most noticeable on the left of the barrel below the caliber, left of the receiver above the “PROPERTY” marking, and right of the chamber. The metal has some impact marks under the finish. There is some light oxidation showing through the finish, most noticeable on the sides of the receiver front and rear. There are some scattered fresh dings. There is some mottled discoloration, most noticeable on the left of the receiver. The screw heads range from sharp to lightly tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear though some are a bit light. Overall, this shotgun is in about Very Good-Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
