Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NORTH HAVEN, CONN., U.S.A. / MOD. 62 MAGNUM—MICRO-GROOVE BARREL- CAL. .256 WIN MAG”. The right side of the barrel at the receiver is marked with a circled “JM” proof.

Sights / Optics: This rifle is mounted with a hooded brass bead front sight dovetailed into a serrated ramp base screwed to the top of the barrel. The rear sight dovetail has been filled. The top of the receiver is drilled, tapped, and filled for a scope base. A Pentax Gameseeker 4-12×40 scope is mounted to this rifle. Scope is clear and crisp. The scope caps show a few scratches on the lense. The scope body shows light handling marks with no major damage.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one piece smooth walnut. The stock shows scattered handling and storage marks with a few impact marks. The checkered hard rubber buttplate shows moderate wear with no chips or cracks. The buttstock shows no chips or cracks. This buttstock is mounted with a sling swivel at the forend and at the buttstock. The LOP measures 13 1/2” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 90% of its metal finish. The lever shows light edge wear and finish thinning. The blued barrel shows light handling and storage marks. The screw heads range from sharp to lightly tooled with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The lever locks up tightly. There is a safety on the right side of the receiver that locks the trigger and the lever. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with a single blued steel magazine. The magazine shows minimal wear, but there is some finish loss on the base plate edges.
