Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered black plastic with Walther banner logos at their tops. The grips show light handling wear with tool-slips around the screw head, some scattered light marks, and infrequent damaged checkers. The checkering is generally well defined. Type of Finish: Blue
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 90% of its metal finish. The finish is thinning at most edges with more notable finish wear at the leading edges and corners of the slide. There is a spot of finish wear and scattered minor surface oxidation in the frontstrap with lighter oxidation on the sides of the frame. There are a few other scattered minor marks. The action shows light operational wear. The screw head is sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double action trigger pull is a little stiff and the single action pull has a smooth takeup followed by a light, crisp break. This pistol has a decocker safety. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a single 7-round magazine. The magazine has faint operational wear, intact feed lips and a strong spring, in about Fine-Excellent condition.
Our Assessment: Because of the Gun Control Act of 1968, importation of the Walther PPK was disallowed, and Walther enlarged the pistol to the PPK/S model to get around the restrictions. The PPK/S was made by Walter into the 1970’s and then by license to Walter by Interarms starting in 1978 and continuing into the 1990’s, and later by Smith & Wesson, while during most of this time it was also manufactured by Manurhin. This is a blued Walther PPK/S in .380 ACP caliber made by Walther in West Germany in 1969 and imported by Interarms. This pistol is in about Very Good condition with about 90% of its original finish remaining. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion. The pistol comes with a single magazine to get you started. If you want a small pistol for concealed carry or if you have small hands that won’t fit around a grip with a double stack magazine, this is a quality pistol that is great for concealed carry. It would make a nice addition for a Walther collector. Please see our photos and good luck!
