Markings: The left shoulder of the barrel is marked in black lettering with “HENRY REPEATING ARMS-RICE LAKE, WI-MADE IN USA”. The right shoulder of the barrel is marked “CAL. 44 REM MAGNUM/.44 SPL.” The upper tang is marked with the serial number “BBS02618AW”. The recoil pad is marked with “HENRY” and the logo.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a tall brass beaded blade that is dovetailed into the top of the barrel. The rear sight is a semi-buckhorn elevator sight that is dovetailed into the barrel, along white diamond aiming point in the center and a “V” notch. The sight insert has a fine adjustment for elevation. The top of the receiver has three drilled, tapped, and filled holes.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are smooth American walnut with a dark stain satin finish. The buttstock has a straight grip and a recoil pad. The forend and buttstock are equipped with sling studs. There are no notable compression marks. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 14” from the front of the trigger to the back of the rubber recoil pad that is still soft and supple. The stocks rate is in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with sharp rifling.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are no notable handling marks nor scratches throughout. It is our opinion that this rifle has been stored for most of its life. The screw heads are sharp and the markings are crisp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The action is very smooth, and the lever locks up solidly. At its fully open position, the lever is at about 90 degrees to the receiver. The hammer does not have a half-cock safety position. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: The box contains minor wear and tear, typical from storage. Inside the box is an owners manual and other paperwork. Equipped to the gun is a tubular magazine that runs the length of the barrel. Also included is a forend barrel scuff sleeve.
Our Assessment: This is a Henry Big Boy All Weather Lever Action Rifle, chambered for either .44 Special or .44 Magnum. It has a chrome 20” barrel with full-length magazine tube and a chrome receiver. The rifle is in Excellent condition with a bright bore and sharp rifling, a great shooter for sure.
