A faux-wood cardboard Colt box is included serial-matched to the blued Diamondback as well as a custom belt-buckle marked “Diamondback” with a snake on the front and signed “Doyle Fowler” on the reverse. The presentation case has minor storage wear, in about Fine-Excellent condition. The Colt box has scattered light storage wear with some fraying at edges in about Good-plus condition. The belt buckle has minor storage wear in about Fine condition.
Our Assessment: The Diamondback is essentially a shorter framed Python both in the cylinder and grip frame, sharing similar aesthetic dynamics and is no less striking than its predecessor. This is a beautiful pair with one blued and one nickel finish, housed in a gorgeous display case. The set is in Excellent condition, appearing to have spent more time on display than at the range and comes with one of the gun’s original Colt boxes and a nice Diamondback belt buckle that will show well with the revolvers in the case. This is a beautiful set of two classic “Snake Guns”, perfect for any collection. Please see our pictures and good luck!
