Markings: The right side of the slide is marked “ISRAEL WEAPON INDUSTRIES (IWI) LTD. / MADE IN ISRAEL”, the left is marked “DESERT EAGLE PISTOL / MAGNUM RESEARCH INC. PILLAGER MN USA”. The right of the frame is marked with the serial number. The left side of the barrel “.44”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Millet ramped blade colored orange and is dovetailed into the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch Millet sight with a serrated rear face, white alignment bar, and white outline. The rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation and is dovetailed into the slide. The top of the barrel has a Weaver-style rail for mounting an optic (none included).
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is a one-piece textured black polymer with IWI logos in the middle of either side which wraps around the backstrap. The grip has no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. There is some flashing from the mold on the back. Overall, the grip is in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the polygonal rifling is well defined. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are tool marks on the barrel to the left of the front sight and tool marks on the left side of the rear sight. Otherwise, there is light handling wear. The screw heads are sharp, the markings are clear. Overall, this handgun is in about Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide has a bit of play to the frame. The trigger has a little bit of creep before breaking, but is light. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with an 8-round magazine and serial matching hard case. The mag has light wear and rates in Fine condition.
Our Assessment: The Desert Eagle is a fascinating pistol that incorporates a gas-piston and rotating multi-lug bolt system into a big-bore semi-automatic pistol. Due to being chambered for the .44 Magnum cartridge, and ease of converting to .50 AE, the frame is both large and quite heavy. Its all steel construction is at once absurdly heavy and necessary as it will help dampen recoil and stop the reciprocation of the large mass of its slide from whipping the pistol out of your grip. With the solid lockup of a rotating multi-lug bolt and more than 8″ sight radius, this pistol would be at home hunting, at the silhouette range, or just informal target shooting with your range buddies. This example is in Fine Plus condition and comes with a mag and case to get you started. Since the bolt used for both the .50 AE and .44 Magnum cartridges is the same, changing calibers is quick and easy with just the turn of a lever allowing removal of one barrel and installation of the other (though no caliber conversion kit is included). It may be a little unwieldy for home defense, but it’ll put the fear of God into any intruders. Despite some saying there’s no use for the Desert Eagle it never seems to drop in popularity be it in Hollywood, video games, or in the shooting community in general.
