Markings: The top tang is marked “E19460” and with a Fabarm logo. Each side of the receiver is marked “FABARM” and “RS 12”. The bottom of the receiver is marked “OVERPRESSURE TESTED / 1630BAR” and “AXIS / RS12. The receiver has decorative relief foliate scroll engraving. The trigger plate is marked “100% MADE IN ITALY”. The water table has Italian proofs. The left of the top barrel is marked “FABARM USA – Cambridge, MD / READ OWNER’S MANUAL BEFORE USE”, the right is marked “FABARM S.p.a. – TRIBORE HP – 12 GA 3″ -12/76mm / MADE IN ITALY – OVERPRESSURE TESTED 1630 BAR”. The left of each barrel, under the forend, has an Italian proof. The bottom of the monoblock is marked with the serial number, a Fabarm logo, inspection and proof marks and “CL” in box date code.

Barrel Length: 30″, Vent-Rib

Choke: The barrels are threaded for removable chokes. Five Fabarm extended chokes are included with “2” (Short) and “7” (Long) installed. Also included are “5” (Medium), “9” (Extreme) and one which is unmarked in the knurling, marked “SKEET CYL” on the body.

Sights / Optics: There is a white bead in a base at the front of the rib and a smaller silver-colored mid-bead. The rib is finely checkered for glare-reduction.

Weight: 8 lb., 9.5 oz.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered Turkish walnut with flat-bottom pistol grip, adjustable comb, and black rubber Fabarm buttpad. The stocks have no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 14 7/8″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the pad. The pad has no notable wear or damage and is still supple. Drop at comb measures approximately 1 1/2″, drop at comb 2 1/4″. The comb is adjustable. The cast is about neutral. Overall, the stocks are in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are bright. There is no erosion in the bores.

Overall Condition: This shotgun retains approximately 99% of its metal finish. There is no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun is in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly including ejectors. The action locks up tight with no play. The safety does not engage automatically when the action is opened, but does function properly when engaged manually. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun comes in a black plastic Fabarm case with foam interior fitted for the stocked receiver, barrel assembly, adjustment tool for the comb, choke wrench, and black plastic Fabarm choke case with the additional chokes. Also included is an assortment of factory paperwork including manual and the original cardboard shipping carton with serial-matching label. The case and accessories are in Excellent condition. The shipping carton shows shipping and storage wear.

The Axis Free-Floating Barrels feature the advanced TRIBORE HP™ tapered bores that lower recoil and reduce the need for excessively long forcing cones. Each gun comes with five EXIS HP™ choke tubes with a proprietary hyperbolic design that is a ballistic match to the tapered barrel bores. The result is devastating performance down range with all types of shot sizes and velocities.

The deeply blued Axis RS 12 action was purpose built as a target gun. The heavy duty 43mm wide action combined with a monolithic locking lug makes the Axis an extremely durable platform. The fore-end iron utilizes an adjustable mechanism to allow the action tension to be tightened at will for ease of service. An adjustable trigger features a light, crisp trigger pull. This Axis RS 12 Sporting comes in its factory case with its original shipping carton. The gun is in Excellent condition, appearing to have seen little if any use. That makes it a great “used” option for someone looking for the first or next sporting shotgun. Please see our photos and good luck!
