Markings: The sideplate is marked with the Nighthawk company logo and “NIGHTHAWK CUSTOM / BERRYVILLE, AR USA”. The right side of the frame has a metal inlay with the serial number below the cylinder. The left side of the frame is marked with the Korth company logo. The ejector rod recess of the underlug is marked with proofs and the “BI” date code. The yoke is marked “KORTH / Germany / .357 Mag”. The rear face of the cylinder is marked “.357 Mag”, “Korth / DE”, the serial number, and has a proof. The bototm of the underlug is marked “Mfg. by Korth-Germany”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a vertical rear face with a fixed gold dot, it is pinned into the rib and there is also a screw above the muzzle. The rear sight is a square notch set in a base with a serrated rear face. The rear sight is mounted to the frame with a screw on the right side which also functions as windage adjustment and there is an elevation screw in the top of the base.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are one-piece black rubber Hogue grips with finger grooves and their pebble texture. The grips show light handling wear but no major defects. Overall, the grips are in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the polygonal rifling is strong. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The front face of the cylinder, front sight, and cylinder release have some faint thinning on the edges. The screw heads are sharp to lightly used with no major damage. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double-action is silky smooth and the single action is nice and crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included are a serial matching Nighthawk hard case, serial matching 9mm conversion cylinder, some tools, test-fired brass, and paperwork including a test target and manual.
Our Assessment: The Korth Mongoose is a revolver offered in 3”, 4”, 5.25”, or 6” barrel configurations. Chambered in .357 Magnum/ .38 Special, the cylinder holds six rounds of ammunition. This one is included with a unique interchangeable cylinder system that allows for .357 Magnum/.38 Special and 9mm, to be interchanged in a flash. The 9mm cylinder is a marvel itself, it allows for the use of the ejector with the 9mm cases! The Mongoose provides a level of versatility not seen in any other revolver on the market. This is a revolver that harkens back to the days when a revolver was a hand-built piece of functioning art. The frame and all parts are fully machined from the finest billet steel available. The trigger face is high polished and the smooth action is something that will make a lasting impression to even the most experienced competition revolver shooter. With its fine black DLC finish, the superior craftsmanship and material are clearly evident. Durability and accuracy is unmatched as it should be in a revolver of this stature. This one has been meticulously cared for and is in seriously Excellent condition.
