The bottom of the dust cover has some little scuffs as does the front of the barrel. The edges of the beavertail have a few little nicks. The right side safety has a few spots of finish loss. The front strap has some fine scratches and nicks. The rail has some marks through the finish from previously installed accessories. There is some extremely faint mottled thinning. There is operational wear from standard use. The screw heads are sharp, the markings are clear soft due to refinishing but still legible. Overall, this handgun is in about Fine condition as refinished.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide has a bit of play to the frame. The trigger has some creep before breaking. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with one 8-round magazine. The magazine has some little nicks, a few fine scratches, and thinning on contact points from standard use, in about Fine condition.
Our Assessment: The Desert Eagle is a fascinating pistol that incorporates a gas-piston and rotating multi-lug bolt system into a semi-automatic pistol. This is a Mark I with a steel frame and is chambered for .44 Magnum, and it certainly has enough weight to dampen recoil and stop the reciprocation of the large mass of its slide from producing unmanageable recoil. With the solid lockup of a rotating multi-lug bolt and more than 8″ sight radius, this pistol would be at home hunting, at the silhouette range, or just informal target shooting with your range buddies. This example is in about Fine condition as refinished and comes with one mag to get you started. Despite some saying there’s no use for the Desert Eagle it never seems to drop in popularity be it in Hollywood, video games, or in the shooting community in general. If you’ve never had a Desert Eagle and always wanted one, place your bid. Please see our photos and good luck!
