Markings: The left of the slide has an S&W monogram logo and “Smith & Wesson / SW1911”, the left of the frame has a warning. The right of the frame is marked “SW1911 / UCS1467” and “S&W HOULTON, ME / USA”. The top of the chamber is marked “.45 AUTO”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated blade dovetailed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a S&W branded Bo-Mar style square notch adjustable for windage and elevation, dovetailed to the rear of the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered double-diamond wood panels. The grips have no notable wear or damage, only minor handling marks. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion, but there is stubborn fouling in the grooves.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is only minor handling and operational wear, most notable in the trigger, grip and thumb safeties. The screw heads range from sharp to tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide has barely perceptible play to the frame but still moves smoothly. The trigger is light and crisp. We have not fired this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in a blue plastic Smith & Wesson case with serial-matching label, an assortment of factory paperwork including manual, cable lock, wax paper, and a single 8-round magazine. The case has light storage wear, in about Very Good-plus condition. The magazine has minor operational wear, intact feed lips and a strong spring, in about Fine-plus condition.
Our Assessment: Smith & Wesson first introduced their version of the venerable 1911 back in 2003. Since then, a wide variety of SW1911s have been produced and still are today. This is an SW1911 made in 2011. This pistol features front and rear slide serrations, full-length guide rod, extended beavertail grip safety, frontstrap and mainspring housing checkering, adjustable target sights and a beautiful pair of checkered wood grips. This pistol is in Excellent condition showing light handling and minor operational wear. This is a great 1911-style pistol made with Smith & Wesson quality, and should serve its new owner well for a lifetime. Please see our photos and good luck!
