Markings: The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number above the trigger guard and the words “SIG SAUER INC. / EXETER-NH-USA” above the rail. The right side of the barrel visible through the ejection port is marked “.45 AUTO / SIG”. The left side of the slide is marked “SIG SAUER P220”. The left side grip panel is marked “P220” and the right “SIG SAUER”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a tritium lamp and is dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a square notch with two tritium lamps and is dovetailed into the slide. The lamps are bright and easily acquired in low light environments.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are textured Sig Sauer flat dark earth plastic two-piece panels that enclose the backstrap. The exposed front strap is serrated. They do not display any major defects, just light handling wear. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is a little mark into the finish on the top back edge of the slide. There is otherwise only light handling and light operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are strong and clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included with this pistol is one 8-round magazine and a serial matching hard case. The magazine displays some rubs and draglines from use, in about Fine Plus condition.
Our Assessment: The Sig Sauer P220 is a single stack .45 ACP full size combat pistol. It is similar to the 1911 in that it is a single-stack .45, semi-automatic but all similarities stop there. The P220 has an alloy grip frame to reduce weight, an accessory rail for mounting a light/laser, decocker, and DA/SA capability, and is one of the easiest pistols in the world to field-strip. The gun fits the hand well and has familiar controls found on other Sig models. Sig has multiple contracts with different countries from basic law enforcement to special forces because they make the best. This pistol is ergonomic, reliable, and in Excellent condition making it a great option for anyone in the market for a semi-automatic .45. Please see our photos and good luck!
