Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “38 SUPER”. The right side of the slide is marked “BAER / Custom”. The bottom of the slide is marked “7755P”. The top of the barrel is marked “BAER 38 SUPER”. The bottom of the barrel is hand-scribed “755”. The right side of the frame is marked “LES BAER CUSTOM / LE CLAIR IA USA / LB37755”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Trijicon blade with tritium insert sight dovetailed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is an LBC branded Trijicon square-notch with two tritium inserts dovetailed and screw-set to the rear of the slide. The tritium inserts have dimmed somewhat, but are still useable as night sights in very low-no light environments.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered wood panels. The grips have no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The barrel, slide and hammer show light operational wear. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide has no play to the frame. The lockup in battery is quite tight but slides smoothly once the slide has been moved to the rear a little. It’s possible that the pistol is not yet broken in and will need some more use to finish the break-in. The trigger is light and crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: The gun comes in a brown cardboard box with serial-matching label and an assortment of factory paperwork including manual. One 8-round magazine with “J&J” black plastic floorplate is included. The box has light storage wear, in about Fine condition. The magazine has faint operational wear with intact feed lips and a strong spring, in about Excellent condition.
Our Assessment: From Les Baer’s website: “Like our two popular Stinger models, this Stinger was designed as an efficient concealed carry pistol. The compact size features a Commanche top end and a shorter grip frame — similar to an Officer’s model. But it’s built for the super accurate, high velocity .38 Super round or popular 9mm. It’s a perfect combination for backup or home defense.” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. This .38 Super Stinger comes with its original box in Excellent condition and is sure to take a prized place in the collection of a Les Baer, .38 Super or 1911 fan.
