Markings: The left of the lower receiver is marked with a BOHICA Arms logo, “GLENDALE – AZ” and “SERIAL – 0926”, the right is marked “MODEL BL-15AL” and “MULTI-CALIBER”. The cheek riser has a BOHICA Arms logo. The left of the upper receiver has a BOHICA Arms logo, “CALIFORNIA LEGL / CAL. 50 DTC” and “SERIAL – 4859”.

Sights / Optics: The top of the upper receiver has a picatinny rail screwed to it wtih 30mm rings holding an SWFA Super Sniper SS 16×42 scope with Mil-Quad reticle (https://www.swfa.com/swfa-ss-16×42-tactical-30mm-riflescope-3.html?___SID=U). The scope has clear glass with only light handling marks, in about Fine-Excellent condition.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The lower receiver has a fixed stock with adjustable cheek-piece, serrated black rubber buttpad and an un-branded Ergo Tactical Deluxe grip with palm shelf. The upper receiver has a free-float quad rail. The stock has no notable wear or damage. The grip has some scuffing and scraping on the palm shelf, mostly on the bottom. The quad rail has some scattered light marks including tool marks on the locking ring’s slots. The LOP measures 14″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the pad. Overall, the stocks are in about Very Good-Fine condition.

Finish Originality: Original to the parts, the upper is not original to the lower.
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. There are only a few scattered minor marks and faint operational wear. The pin heads are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in about Fine-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The upper and lower separate similar to an AR-15 and the lower receiver accepts standard AR fire control groups, selectors, stocks and grips (we suspect that the bolt is only compatible with rifle A2/A4 style buffer tubes). The firing pin moves freely in the bolt assembly and the return spring functions properly. The installed fire control group appears to be mil-spec, heavy with some creep before breaking. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes in a black Pelican 1770 case with pick-and-pull foam cut out for the upper assembly with scope, lower assembly, bolt, the included Konus Konuspot-80 20-60x spotting scope with case, and bipod. Also included are 109 loaded .50 DTC cartridges with various projectiles including 15 black-tip projectiles which attract a magnet. We do not know the loading of the cartridges and they should be disassembled and used as components only. The case has scattered light strage wear with some wear to the interior foam, in Very Good-Fine condition. The bipod and spotting scope are in Excellent condition. The installed scope is included as described.
Our Assessment: This rifle combines a few neat features. Taking the modularity of the AR-15 platform to new levels, the lower receiver accepts a single-shot bolt-action upper and allows the use of standard AR stocks, grips and fire control groups. The upper receiver is chambered for .50 DTC, a cartridge born from .50 BMG ban legislation in Europe of all places. With different case dimensions but sharing the same load data, the .50 DTC can still be legally sold and transferred in jurisdictions (such as California) which ban the more popular .50 BMG. This rifle comes as an excellent package including Pelican case, SWFA 16x scope, 20-60x Konus spotting scope, bipod and some cartridges which can be disassembled for components so you can get started reloading.
