The magazines are plastic with a clear front so you can see how many rounds are loaded, and all are in Excellent condition. They are marked “SSG”, “308 Win.” and with the Steyr logo on the bottom.
Our Assessment: This is a really nicely set-up tactical rifle, and in wonderful condition. If the current owner hadn’t forgotten to clean the barrel before consigning it to us, we wouldn’t have been able to tell whether or not it had ever been fired. The Kahles ZFM scope is the Austrian military issue scope for this rifle, which adds a little more icing to this cake. The total weight is 11 lbs. with scope and bipod, so it’s not the lightest rifle to carry in the field, but is great if you want to try for 2” groups at 400 yards.
