The screw heads range from sharp to tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this gun rates in about Very Good-Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The lock-up on this revolver has very little play on each chamber. The trigger is smooth in double action, and crisp in single action. We have not fired this revolver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver comes in a blue nylon Colt branded Bob Allen zipper case. The case shows minor storage wear with intact stitching and functional zippers, in about Fine condition.

Our Assessment: One of Colt’s “Seven Serpents”, the King Cobra is a medium-frame 6-shot .357 revolver. It has the looks of a Python with lockwork more similar to the venerable Trooper line of revolvers. This example has a stainless steel finish with 8″ barrel. It is in Very Good-Fine condition with about 95% of its finish, a great bore, and strong mechanics. It comes with a nice Colt branded zipper case. This would make a great revolver for handgun hunting or silhouette shooting and would also fit in with a Colt collection that hasn’t added this snake to the pit. Please see our pictures and good luck!
