Our Assessment: This is the Beretta 86 Cheetah which is modeled after the company’s legendary Model 92 F (Federal), sporting a single stack magazine grip frame for a far less bulky profile, adding to its usefulness as a concealed carry item. Beretta’s pistols are famous not only for their accuracy, but for their rugged construction, earning military and police contracts throughout the 20th century. With the tip-up barrel feature, it aids those who have trouble cocking back the slide, it will do great for older or more fragile hands with reduced recoil on a medium frame format. This should prove to be just as dependable and if you’re looking for a concealed carry or home defense pistol with less kick than a 9mm Parabellum, give this one a look.
