Mechanics: The action functions correctly. There is very little play in the chambers in full lockup with barely perceptible play front-to-rear; the cylinder timing is correct. The double-action trigger pull is smooth with a crisp single-action break. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None.

Our Assessment: As the name implies, the Distinguished Combat Magnum is a remarkable piece of machinery that is tough enough for any application; this pistol rates in Very Good-plus condition; the bore is bright with sharp rifling and the action has very light play in full lockup. With its 8 3/8″ barrel and adjustable sights, this will make for a great revolver for target shooting or handgun hunting. Where it will really shine is in silhouette matches. With its adjustable front sight which can quickly change between four preset elevations, this revolver will make short work of chickens, pigs, turkeys and rams (the steel ones or the real ones). Please see our pictures and good luck!
