Box, Paperwork & Accessories: None.

Our Assessment: This is Smith & Wesson’s Model 686-M with an 8 3/8″ barrel and silhouette-style sights. The “M” marking indicates that the revolver was returned to the factory under a recall which affected the 686 and 686-1 models. This revolver has a beautiful stainless finish, with wide serrated trigger and wide checkered hammer. It is a little large for defense or as a hunting sidearm but would make a fantastic gun for handgun hunting. Where it will really shine is in silhouette matches. With its adjustable front sight which can quickly change between four preset elevations, this revolver will make short work of chickens, pigs, turkeys and rams (the steel ones or the real ones). Please see our pictures and good luck!

All cartridge firing handguns (even C&R’s and antiques) sold to a California resident must be DROS’d. This does not apply to out of state residents.
