Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “”BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN UTAH . MADE IN JAPAN/MIROKU”. The upper tang is marked “02403ZV171”. The right side of the barrel is marked “BT-99 SPECIAL STEEL 12GA. SHELLS 2 ¾””. Each side of the receiver and the trigger guard have a gold Buck Mark. The sides, underside and top of the receiver are scroll engraved. The left side of the barrel lug is marked “32” and “INVECTOR PLUS”. The bottom of the barrel is marked “02403” and with three Japanese proofs. The inside of the forend iron is marked “02403”.
Barrel Length: The ported barrel is 32” in length with a full length vent rib.
Choke: This shotgun is threaded for Invector Plus chokes. An extended Light Modified is installed. Extended Improved Cylinder and two extended Improved Modified are included as well as a standard Full Invector Plus.
Sights / Optics: This shotgun is mounted with a full-length vent rib. There is a green fiber optic sight installed at the front of the rib with a smaller white mid-bead. The top of the rib is finely checkered and the rib on the top of the receiver has a matte finish to eliminate glare.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two piece checkered select walnut with a pistol grip, adjustable monte-carlo comb and solid brown rubber Decelerator XLT buttpad. The forend has a few light marks on the front face. Otherwise, there is no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. The checkering is sharp. The drop at the front and rear of the comb is currently 1 5/8” and the drop at the heel is 2”. The LOP measures 14 1/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the pad. The cast is about neutral. The pad shows light wear at the toe and is still supple, in about Fine condition. The stocks rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There is a light nick on the left edge of the ventilated rib. Otherwise, there is no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly including ejector. The barrel locks up to the receiver with no play. This model was not made with a safety. We have not fired this shotgun.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun comes in a brown hard-sided Browning luggage case with brown plush interior fitted for the gun and an Allen choke case containing the extra chokes and a Browning choke wrench. The case has very light storage wear on the exterior with light wear from the contents on the interior, in about Fine-Excellent condition. The choke case has been personalized with “BT-99 / ODeLL” in black marker on the outside, but otherwise shows no wear or damage, in about Fine condition.
Our Assessment: This Browning BT-99 Trap Gun was certainly made with the trap shooter in mind. With its long high-post ribbed barrel, it is perfect for those fast going-away shots. It is also very pleasing to look at with its Grade III/IV walnut stocks, deep bluing and engraved receiver. This shotgun is in about Excellent condition with 99% of its metal finish remaining and extremely light wear in the stocks. The bore is bright and the action locks up tight as can be. This shotgun has a 32” barrel, is threaded for Invector Plus chokes with Light Modified installed, and its Monte Carlo stock has an adjustable comb so you can fit it as you please. It will be great for anyone interested in competition trap shooting and comes with a selection of chokes and a nice Browning luggage case for storage and transport.
