Our Assessment: The Browning Hi-Power pistol, along with the Colt 1911, are two pistols that have withstood the test of time. The Hi-Power was the last of John Browning’s designs and was completed by Dieudonné Saive at Fabrique Nationale. The pistol was introduced in 1935, giving it a nickname of P-35. It is one of the most widely used military pistols in history, having been used by the armed forces of over 50 countries, and was the favorite of the British Special Air Service (SAS) commandos, which attests to the quality and reliability of this weapon. This is a Browning Hi-Power that was made in Belgium but assembled in Portugal. The pistol has adjustable target sights to help maximize accuracy. It has an ambidextrous safety and comes with two 10-round magazines and its original box. This pistol is the perfect size for concealed carry: not too heavy and with a grip frame that is very ergonomic. With an all steel frame and slide, recoil should be quite tame and the pistol isn’t quite as bulky as comparable polymer-frame double-stack 9mms. The pistol is in Excellent condition showing little to no signs of use, as perfectly suited to a collection as it is to target shooting or self-defense use. Please see our photos and good luck!
