Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “COLT’S / GOVERNMENT MODEL / .45 AUTOMATIC CALIBER” with a Colt Rampant.   The right side of the slide is marked “COLT’S PT.F.A. MFG. CO.  HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A”.  The right side of the frame is marked “333907C / BB”.  The chamber is marked “- COLT 45 AUTO / BB”. All serialized parts are matching.

Barrel Length: 5”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated  blade fixed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a square-notch that is dovetailed to the rear of the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two piece checkered polymer. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in Excellent condition.

Type of Finish: Blued

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is Mirror bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. The screwheads are sharp. Overall, this pistol is in Excellent to As New condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. This pistol has a tight slide and a crisp trigger. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a Factory Colt box, all included paperwork, one magazine, and Colt letter.

Our Assessment: The “BB” stamped with the serial number indicates this pistol is one of approximately 1,000 units from a pre-production run of Series ’70 pistols featuring the new Accurizor barrel and split bushing, as indicated in the Colt letter.
