Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “Kimber”, the right side is marked “STAINLESS TARGET II”, the right side of the frame is marked “KIMBER, YONKERS, NY U.S.A. / KF44287”. The barrel, visible through the ejection port, is marked “9MM”. The factory hard plastic case is marked “Kimber” with matching end label.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a red fiber optic type sight, on an integral base that is dovetailed onto the slide. The rear sight is a flat top, square notched leaf on a base that is adjustable for windage and elevation; the base is dovetailed onto the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are a ‘double diamond’ pattern, checkered rubber panels. The panels only show the lightest of handling marks. The grips are extremely durable at repelling most marks from light contact and staining. The grip panels rate in about Excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Factory Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are the lightest scuffs and scratches, mostly from storage and light handling. The gun does not appear to have been fired much. There is light wear to the moving parts of the operation. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in its original Kimber plastic hard case, a lock, sticker, ads & lube.
Our Assessment: The only problem we could see with this gun is accidentally trying to chamber a 45 ACP. The gun is 9mm, says so on the barrel and the matching end label on the box, just in case you forget. The gun feels like a full size and has great target sights currently installed. We love this finish for its durability too. There is no magazine, but maybe having to buy one will remind you that you just bought a stainless 9mm 1911 with target sights, in the factory box … Please see our pictures
