Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a serrated rear face that is fixed to the slide above the muzzle. The rear sight is a square notch that is dovetailed to the top rear of the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece smooth wood featuring gold-colored Colt medallions. The right panel has a couple of scratches and minor scuffing at the bottom mounting screw. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. The grips are in about Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore, but there is a little stubborn fouling. In this writer’s opinion, this bore rates 9 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are a few minor scuffs and small marks. There is a little faint oxidation on the sides of the hammer. The action shows minor operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Fine-plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This handgun comes with a Colt cardboard box. The label is serial-matching, but the label-end has torn free from the body of the box. A single 9-round Colt magazine is included.
Our Assessment: The 1911 is one of the best pistols ever designed, seeing use in the US Military for the better part of a century and dominating pistol shooting sports for decades. This is a Colt MK IV Series ’70 Government Model from 1975. The descendent of the original Model of 1911, it has updates of the 1911-A1 as well as a collet-style bushing to improve accuracy.
