Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. / MADE IN JAPAN – Miroku”. The right side of the barrel is marked “BROWNING MEDALLION – .300 WIN. MAG. ONLY / B.C. Miroku – JAPAN”. The right side of the receiver is marked with the serial number “87440ZY351”. The floorplate is scroll engraved . The trigger guard has a gold Buckmark logo.

Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights. The receiver is mounted with a Leupold VX-6 3-18x50mm riflescope. The scope has a fine reticle and a side-focus adjustment. The glass is clear with excellent resolution. The scope is in excellent condition.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a high-gloss checkered walnut with a capped semi-pistol grip, fluted straight comb, capped forend, and black rubber Browning recoil pad. There are a few scattered light handling marks and tiny compressions, but no cracks or chips. The checkering is sharp and well defined. The LOP measures 13 5/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the recoil pad. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Magazine Quantity & Condition: One 3-round detachable magazine, Browning marked, in Excellent condition.

Type of Finish: High Polish Blued with Scroll Engraved Receiver and Floorplate

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore but there is stubborn fouling throughout. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows only the faintest signs of handling, with minor edge wear on the bolt handle and some faint marks on the trigger guard. The screw heads are sharp. The pins are clean. The markings are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
