Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked with the safety warning as well as “17 REM” The left side of the receiver is marked “B6681615 / REMINGTON MODEL 700”

Sights / Optics: The stop of the receiver is marked with a Weaver Micro Tarc scope. The reticle is a duplex crosshair. The sight picture is clear.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is in a 1 piece walnut configuration featuring a fluted monte carlo style stock, plastic buttplate, checkered and capped semi pistol grip, checkered and ebony tipped forend, 2 sling swivels, 1 in the belly of the buttstock and 1 in the bottom of the forend. The LOP is 13.5” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are some light scratches present in the buttstock and forend. The checkering is defined. There are no chips or cracks. The stock rates in Excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is semi bright, the rifling is defined. There is no visible erosion in the bore. There is moderate stubborn fouling present in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 8/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows minor thinning near the muzzle and some light handling wear. There are some light scratches on the barrel and receiver. The markings are clear and legible. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The bolt cycles smoothly, and the trigger breaks cleanly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
