Markings: The tang is marked “8189B”.The top of the barrel is marked “Shiloh-Sharps Model 1874” and “CALIBRE 45  /  21/10”. The left side of the receiver is marked “SHILOH RIFLE MFG. CO. BIG TIMBER, MONTANA.”.

Barrel Length: 30” Heavy Octagon Barrel. This rifle weighs approximately 12LBS.

Sights / Optics: This rifle is mounted with a Globe front sight with a simple post insert and a spirit level. The rear sight is an MVA Vernier tang sight with a mid range staff mounted to the upper tang. This is a premium sight set in Excellent condition.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture is a two piece smooth “Fancy” walnut. The buttstock is a full pistol grip with checkered curved lower tang, straight comb with cheek piece, and has a case colored checkered buttplate with fire blued screws. The handguard features a Hartford tip smooth forend with fire blued screws. The LOP measures 14? from the front trigger to the back of the buttplate. The Hartford tip shows some very minor surface lines common with that type of finish. The wood shows almost no handling wear with one small mark on the left side of the wrist just above the pommel. The buttplate shows no wear. There are no visible chips or cracks. The Furniture is in about Like New overall condition.

Type of Finish: The barrel and sights are finished with a high gloss blue and the receiver, lever, buttplate, tang and hammer are color case hardened. All the screws are fire blued.

Finish Originality: All Original

Bore Condition: The bore is mirror bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion. This bore appears unfired outside of factory testing. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition: Like New condition showing only barely visible storage wear. There is a small mark where the level touches the lower tang.

Mechanics: This rifle has double set triggers, which function correctly. The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle includes a foam padded hard case, inspection tag, manual, paperwork, sticker, and the Montana Vintage arms packaging and instructions.
