Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “28 FA FOR 2 3/4″ OR SHORTER SHELLS.” The left side of the receiver is marked “REMINGTON WINGMASTER MODEL 870 / S300814J.” The right side of the barrel is marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO INC ILION NY MADE IN USA PATENT NOS 2,645,873 – 2,675,638 – 2,780,881 – 2,719,375.”

Sights / Optics: The shotgun is equipped with a front bead sight mounted on a ventilated rib. The top of the rib has a serrated surface to reduce glare.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The shotgun features a two-piece wood stock configuration, consisting of a fluted straight comb, a checkered and capped semi-pistol grip, and a checkered forend. The stock retains its original plastic buttplate. The length of pull (LOP) measures 14.25″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are light scratches and compression marks present throughout the wood, but there are no chips or cracks. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: This shotgun has a tubular magazine with a capacity of approximately five rounds.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore but there is stubborn fouling throughout. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 90% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light operational wear, with thinning on the action bars and minor finish loss on handling points. There are light scratches and scattered handling marks throughout. The screw heads are sharp. The pins are clean. The markings are clear and legible. Overall, this shotgun rates in Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
