Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “MOD. 225 CAL. .375 H&H”. The left side of the receiver is marked “MAUSER-WERKE OBENDORF W.-GERMANY”. The top of the receiver ring features the “Original Mauser” logo. The serial number “120128” is marked on the right side of the receiver. The magazine has a Mauser sticker labeled “Caliber: .375 H+H Magn.”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade dovetail to a ramp. The rear sight is an express-style sight with a fixed notch. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a finely checkered walnut Monte Carlo-style stock with a capped semi pistol grip, rubber buttpad and a raised cheekpiece. It has a black grip cap and a black rubber buttpad. The LOP measures 14 1/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. There are minor handling marks and light finish wear, but no significant chips or cracks. The stock rates in about Very Good to Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling wear, with some minor thinning at the muzzle and high edges. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp and clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
