Bore Condition: The bore is semi-bright with sharp rifling, showing heavy stubborn fouling in the grooves. With proper cleaning, this bore is expected to improve. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 8.5/10, making this revolver a solid shooter despite needing a deep cleaning.

Overall Condition: The revolver retains high original finish, showing light handling marks and minor carry wear. The cylinder face exhibits burn marks from firing, and a light turn line is visible on the cylinder. The stainless steel remains clean and well-maintained, with no major blemishes or damage.

Mechanics: The action functions flawlessly, with a smooth double-action pull and a crisp single-action break. The cylinder locks up tightly with minimal play, and the timing is precise, reflecting Smith & Wesson’s renowned quality. We did not fire this revolver. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning and inspection are recommended before operation.
