Our Assessment: The Remington XP-100 is a revolutionary bolt-action pistol that was one of the first firearms designed specifically for handgun hunting and long-range target shooting. Originally introduced in the 1960s, the XP-100 set the standard for precision pistol shooting with its centerfire bolt-action design and single-shot capability. By 1980, Remington had transitioned the XP-100 to chamberings like the 7mm BR Remington, a highly accurate round developed for competitive shooting and hunting.
This example is in excellent shape, retaining about 95% of its original blued finish, with only minor oxidation on the bolt and a single marred screw on the scope mount. The bore remains bright, the rifling is sharp, and the included Leupold M8-4X Extended Eye Relief scope enhances its precision capabilities.
With its original case, strong bore, and well-maintained condition, this 1980-manufactured XP-100 is a fantastic find for collectors, competition shooters, and handgun hunters alike. Its accuracy, history, and unique design make it an excellent addition to any collection. So bid high and bid firm. Please take a look at the condition in our high-quality photos. Good luck with your bid. -K.F.
