Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “SAKO TRG-22”, with the serial number and with a Finnish “crowned lion’s head” proof. The left side of the barrel is marked “CAL. 308 Win. MADE IN FINLAND” and with a Finnish “crowned lion’s head” proof. The right side of the barrel is marked with the Sako “WARNING” and “IMPORTER – BERETTA U.S.A. CORP ACKK. MD 20607”. The bottom of the bolt handle is marked with the last three digits of the serial number.
Barrel Length: Approximately 20 Inches
Sights / Optics: The rifle has no iron sights as it was designed for use with a scope. The front of the barrel has a groove for a sight machined into it. The top of the receiver is slotted for an optic and is drilled and tapped for an optic. The top of the receiver has 6 1/8 inches of slotted Picatinny rail attached to it by 4 screws. The rail cantilevers 1 inch over the barrel. The rail shows a small scraped area on top and a small scrape on the right. It is in about Excellent condition.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The custom tactical stock is a KRG folding stock. The front portion of the stock is a KRG with aluminum chassis, pistol grip, two sling points on the left side, and an 8 1/8 inch slotted channel under the forearm for mounting a bipod or other accessories. The folding portion of the stock is does not require tool. The other adjusting portions of the stock do not require tools; just push the oversized buttons and adjust the stock. The sled style monopod under the stock can be finely adjusted by turning the oversized knurled nut; it is not necessary to push in the buttons to make this adjustment. The stock folds and locks into place properly. All the adjustable portions of the stock function and lock into place properly. The underside of the forearm and the upper left of the pistol grip each show light scrapes and scrapes that have removed small portions of the finish. The front of the magazine well shows small scrapes. The buttstock shows several scuffs and some light scrapes. Overall the stock rates in about Fine Plus condition.

It replaces the back half of your current TRG stock, you keep your forend, chassis, and trigger components. It is fully adjustable for length-of-pull, cheek height, buttpad vertical position and buttpad cant. The length-of-pull and cheek height adjustments are tool-less. The latch mechanism features a proven spring loaded tapered detent design to provide a tight lockup throughout the life of the stock. The stock also locks in the folded position.”

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion. The bore shows an M.E. of -0.5 (negative 0.5).
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The barrel shows scuffs and a few light scrapes. The receiver shows a few scuffs. The screw heads are intact. The markings are deep. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with one 10 round magazine. It shows a faint scratch on the left and scrapes on the rear from insertion & removal. It is in about Fine condition. The rifle also comes with rail for an optic; see above.
Our Assessment: This Sako TRG-22 is one impressive sniper rifle that is in great shape. It has a 20 inch heavy contour barrel with as strong & bright bore that is mounted on a cold hammer-forged receiver. The receiver is made from special alloyed steel. The stock is a fully adjustable KRG folding stock that allows the rifle to fold down to 30 ½ inches. The trigger pull is adjustable from 2 to 5 pounds. All you need are rings and a scope to complete this sniper rifle. If you want to add a muzzle break it will be easy.
