Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “Kimber”, the right side is marked “CLASSIC STAINLESS GOLD MATCH”, the right side of the frame is marked “KIMBER, YONKERS, NY U.S.A. / K045687”. The barrel, visible through the ejection port, is marked “.45 ACP”. The magazine is marked “Mec-Gar / MADE IN ITALY / .45” with 7 witness holes and markings from 2-8 for round count. The rear sight is marked “KIMBER”. The factory hard plastic case is marked “Kimber”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a black blade with a serrated face, on an integral base that is dovetailed onto the slide. The rear sight is a flat top, square notched leaf on a base that is adjustable for windage and elevation; the base is dovetailed onto the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are a ‘double diamond’ pattern, checkered rosewood panels that have exceptional grain and tone variation, please see our pictures. The panels only show the lightest of handling marks in the smooth portions of the diamonds, with infrequent minor compression marks to some of the checkers The grip panels rate in about Excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Factory Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is highly defined with some minor scuff wear. There is lead fowling but no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The polished portions of the finish have light scuffs and scratches with some examples of light abrasions on the left side of the slide. There is light wear on the barrel and guide rod from opearation. This pistol looks to have been shot seldom and was well taken care of in the interim. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are crisp. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, the slide to frame fit is solid and the controls respond with positive ‘click’. The pistol features a skeletonized hammer and trigger, ambidextrous thumb safety, beavertail grip safety, checkered mainspring housing and full length guide rod. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in its original Kimber plastic hard case with one Mec-Gar 8 round magazine, a lock, allen wrench, bushing wrench, owner’s manual, egg crate foam inserts and a lock, all showing light wear, rating in about Fine to Excellent condition as photographed.
Our Assessment: This is a competition ready Kimber Classic Stainless Gold match with polished and matte surfaces which look excellent against the rosewood ‘double diamond’ grip panels. The pistol retains about 98% of its factory finish with small scuffs, scratches and light abrasion marks. The bore is bright and sharp with minor scuff wear and some lead fowling that is difficult to remove. This pistol has almost every upgrade a target shooter or individual looking to defend their homestead might want. The sights give a quick, accurate picture, the controls are wisely located and the heavier material makes for a balanced point of aim.
