Action Type: Break-Open Side-lock Side by Side Shotgun with Extractors, Double Triggers.
Markings: The top of the barrels are marked, “ABERCROMBIE & FITCH CO. / U.S. AGENTS NEW YORK” The bottom of the barrels are marked, “88099” with Belgium proofs including the provisional smokeless proof. The forend is marked, “88099” The inside of the frame and tang are marked, “88099” and “A.FRANCOTTE MAKER & PATENTEE LIEGE BELGIUM” on either side of the frame. The entire frame and back of the barrels have fine leaf pattern engraving. The safety is marked, “S” in gold inlay.

Sights / Optics: There is a silver bead set on top of the serrated rib.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are a two piece checkered walnut with a splinter forend,Prince of Wales style wrist, straight comb, with a lacquered serrated horn buttplate. There are pressure dents and scratches throughout. There are no chips or cracks. The checkering is mostly sharp. The LOP measures 14 5/8? from the front trigger to the back of the buttplate. Overall, the stocks are in Very Good condition. The comb drop is 1.5” The drop at the heel is 3” There is a slight right hand cast.

Bore Condition: The bores are bright. There is some stubborn fouling scattered about both barrels. There are very faint scratches throughout. In this writer’s opinion the bores rates at a 8.5/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 85% of its metal finish. The barrel has light thinning throughout. The frame has finish wear on the edges. The triggers are worn of their finish and there is some dried grease. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in Very Good condition for its age.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The barrels lock up to the frame with no play. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
