Markings:  The left side of the receiver is marked with a Nitro proof and “1279535 J.G. Anschutz GmbH Ulm West-Germany”.  The left side of the chamber is marked “IE” with a Nitro and Ulm Proof.  The top of the barrel is marked “Anschutz Modell 1422 / Cal. .22 long rifle”. The bottom of the magazine is marked “ANSCHUTZ”.  The face of the bolt is marked “535”.

Sights / Optics:  The front sight is a hooded beaded post fixed to the barrel.  The rear sight is a flip up u-notch leaf with a white triangle aim reference.  The top of the receiver has two pairs of drilled, tapped, and filled holes.

Stock Configuration & Condition:  The stock is checkered wood with capped semi-pistol grip with white diamond inlay, monte carlo comb with cheek piece, two sling swivels, schnabel forend, and serrated hard rubber buttplate. There are scratches and large scuffs throughout, however, there are no chips or cracks.  The LOP measures approximately 13 7/8” and 14 1/2″ from the front of the triggers to the back of the buttplate respectively. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.  There are no chips or cracks.  There are some minor compression marks on the belly of the stock.

Bore Condition:  The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There are some minor signs of corrosion. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.

Overall Condition:  This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish.  The markings are clear. The screwheads are strong. There is little to no handling or operation wear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics:  The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories:  This rifle comes with an original 5rd .22LR magazine in Excellent condition.
