Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “WEATHERBY / SHERIDAN, WY”, “MARK V / MADE IN U.S.A.”, with a Weatherby logo. The left side of the barrel is marked “USE ONLY / 257 WBY MAG”. The right side of the receiver is marked “WY009008”.
Barrel Length: 26. Fluted Hand Lapped, Threaded with protector.
Sights / Optics: There is no provision for iron sights. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped for rail and optic options.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is one piece carbon fiber with semi-pistol grip, fluted straight comb, ventilated rubber buttpad, and 2 sling studs front and rear. The LOP measures approximately 13 5/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the rubber buttpad. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition. There is light handling wear.
Type of Finish: McMillan Tan Cerakote, Carbon Fiber green and tan sponge pattern accents.
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. The markings are clear. The screwheads are mostly strong. The balance of the finish shows light operation wear. There is some finish loss inside the receiver and on top of the receiver where a rail was previously installed. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with its factory box and owner’s manual, chamber lock, muzzle brake, and trigger tech manual.
