Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable hooded pin sight. The rear sight is an adjustable U notch.
Stock Configuration & Condition: Tubular steel forged one piece lower with integrated barrel shroud to the upper receiver. Charging handle on the upper left side and bolt catch. There is an AR-15 pistol grip attached to the mid section of the barrel being utilized as a foregrip. This AR-15 Grip is interchangeable with any standard AR-15 grip.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. The markings are crisp. Overall, this handgun rates in about Like New condition. These Prototypes don’t have factory boxes that they fit in so there is more loose storage wear.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. Telescoping bolt. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with its attached nylon sling.

The Claridge line-up, with its cutting-edge design that could’ve sprung from science fiction, has graced the screen in the hands of cinematic titans such as Mark Wahlberg in “Planet of the Apes” and Arnold Schwarzenegger in “Total Recall.” Throw in an appearance in Iron Man 2, Point Blank, Firefly, Direct Hit, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Leprechaun, Assassins, and probably a few others escaping my mind, and you have a resume that reads like a box office blockbuster film list. Its cool, futuristic look has cemented its place as a cultural icon, not just in the gun community but in the larger tapestry of film lore.
Offering more than just star-studded credentials, this prototype is a collector’s dream, coming straight from the Claridge Family Collection as test-fired only item. It’s as pristine as they come, with the rarity to match its impeccable condition. This isn’t merely a weapon; it’s a narrative woven in steel, a conversation piece with a lineage of on-screen action, real-world collectability, and on-field application as these were marketed towards Police Departments for a time for their incredible adaptability and build tolerances. Claridge decided to experiment with a few configurations of the Hi-Tec lineup during the manufacturing process. These new experimental configurations introduced new types of finishes, materials, stocks, furniture, sights, handles, etc. The results were a very few and very unique lineup of firearms. This is a One Of A Kind Claridge Prototype with an L-9 receiver with a Carbine Length 16.5” Barrel. The Barrel has an AR-15 A1 grip attached as a foregrip along with a sling swivel attached to the side and rear. This configuration may look a little quirky compared to the “normal” lineup of Claridges, but it is truly One of a Kind that gives a one of a kind experience.
