Sights / Optics: The front sight is a two position hooded pinhead beech style sight. The rear sight is a flip up Spencer style sight with an adjustable diopter.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a single piece wood half length stock with a barrel band, pewter forend cap, straight wrist with added semi-pistol grip, straight comb, and semi-crescent buttplate. There are pressure dents, scratches, and small scuffs throughout. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 1/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stock rates in at about Very Good overall condition.
Type of Finish: Blued, Case Color.
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, this bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is some action wear on the trapdoor and inside the action. The barrel and receiver have small markings throughout. There is a spot of finish loss on the barrel. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The rifle has a half-cock safety. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
