Markings: The right side of the barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON”, the left side is marked “.327 MAGNUM”. The left side of the frame is marked with the S&W logo. The crane cutout is marked “CMZ7872/ 632-1”. The crane and sides of the grip frame are marked with inspection marks. The right side of the frame is marked with the four-line marcas registradas address. The butt is marked with the serial number.

Barrel Length: 3” Ported with full lug

Sights / Optics:  Pinned, Serrated ramp front sight with micrometer adjustable rear sight

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are black rubber Uncle Mike’s Combat grips with S&W monogrammed logos in the bottom. There is light handling wear. The texture is strong. Overall the grips are in excellent condition.

Type of Finish: Black Overall Finish on Stainless Frame

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.10/10 bore rating.

Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 99.5% of its metal finish. There is a very light turn line on the cylinder.  There are no burn marks on the front of the cylinder. The screwheads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver rates in excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double-action trigger is smooth, the single-action is crisp. The cylinder lockup produces very light play on all five chambers. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Blue factory plastic case serialized to the gun. With factory brochures and foam inserts, two keys for the lock, and the original factory fired round.

Our Assessment: This model is the stainless steel frame version of the J Frame. Introduced in 1951, this is one of the quality revolvers to take advantage of the advances in materials of the 21st century. Despite its lightweight design, it still benefits from the quality craftsmanship of Smith & Wesson.

This one is a Model 632-1. Chambered in .327 Federal Magnum, Introduced in 2009 with a PC product Code this revolver has no PC (Performance Center) markings; Ramped front sight with adjustable rear sight, 3” ported barrel black overall finish with Uncle Mike’s Combat Grips. This is the First production Handgun in this caliber made by S&W. This revolver shares a model number that was originally made with aluminum frame, however this revolver chambered in 327 Federal is made with an all stainless steel frame and cylinder and steel internal  parts.
