Sights / Optics: The front sight is a fiber-optic blade dovetailed into the front of the slide. The rear of the slide is cut for an optic plate. There is a square notch mounted to the rear of the optic plate behind an Aimpoint ACRO P-2 3.5 MOA red dot sight.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The trigger guard and grip frame are one piece, made of high-strength synthetic material, in black, with a textured pattern for grip. The grip has no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. The grip rates in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.

Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 98% of its metal finish. The action shows operational wear. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. The screw heads have strong sockets. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide has barely perceptible play to the frame. We did not fire this pistol. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes in a Staccato C2 2011 zipper case with factory paperwork including manual and test target, chamber flag, guide-rod block for disassembly, additional lengths of fiber-optic inserts, total of six 16-round magazines (included only where legal), Aimpoint box (serial-matching), Spetzgear retention holster, and a brown leather Southern Trapper holster, magazine pouch, and cuff carrier set. Please note, both holsters are intended for use with a weapon mounted light, but none is included. We do not know which WML the holsters are designed for.

Our Assessment: This pistol is one of a lot made for the Los Angeles Police Department to comply with their 4″ minimum barrel length requirement, the typical C2 has a 3.9″ barrel. With X Series slide serrations, factory optic ready slide, double-stack body, and crisp 1911 trigger, this is a pistol suitable for just about anything. The 1911 and 1911-A1 pistols served the military of the United States from 1911 to 1985, through two World Wars and the Korean and Vietnam wars. They gained a reputation as a reliable handgun with plenty of stopping power, and are held in high regard by those who have used them. The design is one of the most beloved and has gone through many design changes such as modular double stack frames, accessory rails, and optic provisions like this Staccato P DUO from STI.
