Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a Champion adjustable square notch target sight with that is dovetailed to the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered wood with S&W monogram logos and smooth borders. There are a few light handling marks. There are some scattered light handling marks. The checkering is sharp. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Type of Finish: Stainless Steel

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In my opinion, this bore is a 10 out of 10.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are some tiny spots of wear on the controls and bottom edge of the backstrap. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: Products from the Performance Center are the ultimate expression of old-world craftsmanship blended with modern technology. In the year 2000 when S&W released the 952 through the performance center it was billed as the most accurate 9mm in the world. This may have been a true statement if nothing more it is a very bold statement from S&W. This pistol is the stainless steel 952-2 from 2004, and judging by the looks it may not have been out of its case since then! The gun looks great with the lightest of wear. It only has a few minor scuffs and tiny marks, most will likely go unnoticed. The gun feels amazing and the trigger crisp and smooth.
