Choke: The barrel set is threaded for chokes and installed with an extended No. 0 over an extended No. 2. Also included are five additional extended chokes( No’s. 0, 4, 6, 8, 10).
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a red fiber optic insert in a base at the front of the rib and ther is a a smaller metal alignment bead. The rib is checkered for glare reduction.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are checkered walnut with a schnabel tip forend, right-hand palm swell pistol grip, monte carlo comb, and black rubber buttpad. There are some dings in the wood, mostly along the belly. There are some little marks through the finish. There are a few little pools of finish at the rear edge of the buttstock. There is a scratch on the left side of the buttstock. There are a few compressions. The checkering is strong. The LOP measures 15” from the front of the trigger to the back of the aftermarket recoil pad and 13 1/2″ to the wood. The pad has light wear from standard use. The drop at the comb is approximately 1 5/8?, at the rear of the Monte Carlo, 1 1/3″ and at the heel is 2 1/4″. The cast is slightly off, almost neutral. The stocks rate in about Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bores are bright. One of the bores has some small spots of pitting. In my opinion, the bores rate 9 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 97% of its metal finish. The barrel, frame, forend iron, forend, and removable trigger guard are all serial matching. There are a few light handling marks. There are a few dings in the metal on the base of the rib. The markings are clear. The screwheads are sharp. Overall, this shotgun is in Fine Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The barrels lock up with no play. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a Perrazi hard case, the previously described additional chokes, tools, two spare firing pins, two spare springs, and spare fiber optic inserts.
Our Assessment: Perazzi sounds like a high end sports car, and in the gun world it is. They have long been a staple of just about any kind of shotgun sport you can name, famous for their craftsmanship, beauty, and durability. As such, they command a high price, with some buyers going all the way to Italy to be measured in person so that their gun can be specially and exactly fit to them. That said, like a high-end sports car, it can be much more economical to buy used. This one is their MX8 models with a 29 1/2″ barrel. Not only does it look sharp, but it comes with a bevy of factory accessories including five extra chokes, a case, tools, and spare parts. With its beautiful construction and legendary Perazzi quality, this is a gun that will turn some heads and dust some clays. Please see our photos and good luck!
