Sights / Optics: The front sight is a beaded blade and is dovetailed to a hooded, serrated, and ramped base. The rear sight is a “U” notch leaf and elevator-style sight, the elevator is present. The top of the receiver is grooved for mounting an optic (not included).
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece smooth walnut with a straight grip, checkered black plastic Winchester buttplate and barrel band on the forend. There is a factory sticker on the belly that is slightly peeling at the edges. The wear on the wood surfaces is more consistent with storage wear than with actual shooting wear. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 3/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stocks are in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion and for the age, this bore rates a 9 or 10 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows a few light scuffs and handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with a serial-matched Winchester cardboard box. Please note that the box is in fragile condition.
Our Assessment: This is a Winchester 9422 XTR Annie Oakley Commemorative, based, of course, on the company’s tried and true Model 94 Lever Action carbine. Annie Oakley was an American sharpshooter who starred in Buffalo Bill’s Wild West show. This rifle beautifully commemorates the world-renowned shooter with a nicely engraved gold-toned receiver and a high gloss American walnut stock. The 9422 is chambered for the .22 short, long, or long rifle caliber, making for a fun little plinker or pest control gun. This 9422 is in Excellent condition, showing practically little sign of use. This would be a great rifle for taking care of all kinds of varmints as well as being a nice piece to add to a Winchester collection. Please see our pictures and good luck in your bidding!
