Barrel Length: 20 Gauge 27 ½”. 28 Gauge 26”. Both are Vent Rib.

Choke: 20 Gauge top and bottom barrels have removable chokes, both are cylinder. The 28 Gauge top and bottom barrels have removable chokes, the top is full and the bottom is improved modified.

Sights / Optics: The front sight for both barrels is a fixed white bead.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are checkered wood with a pistol grip, straight comb, and rubber buttpad. The stocks have light wear from handling and storage. The LOP measures 14 ½” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. These stocks rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The smooth bores are bright. There is no erosion in the bores. In this writer’s opinion and for the age, these bore rates a 9 out of 10.

Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light wear from handling and storage. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions Correctly. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun comes with a Franchi green hard case with padded interior. The case is in Great shape.

Our Assessment: Franchi S.p.A. is an Italian firearms manufacturer based in Brescia, Italy. The company was founded in 1868 by Luigi Franchi and has been producing firearms for over 150 years. Franchi is known for producing a wide range of firearms, including shotguns and rifles for hunting, sport shooting, and law enforcement. In 1993, Franchi became part of the Beretta Holding Group, which is one of the largest firearms manufacturers in the world. This acquisition has allowed Franchi to expand its reach and resources, while still maintaining its reputation for quality and innovation.

This is a Franchi Veloce Squire Limited Edition 20/28 gauge shotgun set. This over/under shotgun comes in a factory green hardcase and includes 27 ½” 20 Gauge double barrels and 26” 28 Gauge double barrels. This shotgun was manufactured in 2002 and is in Excellent condition, showing little use. Both sets of barrels have choke tubes. The checkered walnut stocks are very well preserved. The receiver is a coin finish and is engraved with a gold grouse in flight on both sides. The grouse is highlighted by ornate scroll engraving. The bottom is engraved with a gold dove in flight, also accented by heavy scroll engraving. The trigger guard and top lever are also deeply engraved.
