The screw heads are significantly distressed and the top screw on the right grip panel is a replacement. The markings are Clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly and features a magazine disconnect safety and a slide mounted cross bolt safety. We did not fire this handgun. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: The pistol is equipped with one 9 round magazine in Very Good condition. The pistol is housed in a web flap holster on a hooked canvas duty belt. The holster is khaki in color as opposed to the green color of the belt. Both are in Very Good condition and not original to the gun.
Our Assessment: The MAC Modele 1950 replaced the MAC Modelo 1935 as the French military sidearm. The 1950 is chambered in 9mm Parabellum and is equipped with 9 round magazines. Comparatively few of these pistols are available and collectors watch for them. This one is in Very Good condition, retaining about 60% of its original finish.
