Our Assessment: The Mauser Model HSc pistols were made by the Germans during WWII and later by the French when they took over their factory and tooling. It was originally intended as Mauser’s response to the Walther PPK, and the HSc competed with the Walther and Sauer 38H pistols for police and military use. This pistol is a later German manufacture model produced after the 1968 import ban and imported by Interarms. It is blued with checkered walnut grips and a 3 1/4” barrel. This is a pair of limited edition American Eagle models numbers 3277 and 3278 of 5000. These little compact pistols look like they would be a lot of fun to shoot, and operate in both single and double action. They have a slide hold-open feature that doesn’t allow the slide to cycle forward on an empty magazine until the magazine is removed and then re-inserted. With their consecutive serial number and high condition, this finely made pistol set will appeal to the Mauser collector who wants to round out his/her collection with a post WWII model. Please see our photos and good luck!
