Markings: The left side of the slide is marked with the Glock logo, “36” and “SALIENT ARMS INTERNATIONAL”. The right side of the slide has the Salient logo. The top of the chamber is marked “.45 AUTO”. The right side of the chamber is marked “DUP708”, the Glock logo and pentagram proof. The left side of the grip has the Glock logo. The right side of the frame and grip are marked “MADE IN AUSTRIA / GLOCK, INC., SMYRNA, GA.” and Glock’s patent information. On the underside of the frame has a metal plate insert engraved with the serial number “DUP708US”.

Barrel Length: 3.78”

Sights / Optics: The front sight is an aftermarket Trijicon blade with a serrated rear face and embedded tritium lamp. The rear sight is an aftermarket Trijicon with a  square-notch with serrated rear face and an embedded tritium lamp at the base of the notch on a mount dovetailed to the top rear of the slide. The tritium lamps are dim and not easy to acquire in low light conditions.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is textured black polymer integral to the frame. The grip has been custom texturized with aggressive stippling on the forestrap and backstrap of the grip as part of the standard Salient customization package. There are no cracks or chips. Overall, the grip is in Excellent condition.

Type of Finish: Black & Titanium Nitride Barrel

Finish Originality: Original to the parts as customized.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright with well-defined polygonal rifling. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. The Salient package has upgraded the pistol in a variety of ways including the stippling of the grip, slide cuts and forward cocking serrations, titanium nitride coating of the barrel, polishing of internal mechanisms and replacement with a Salient trigger among others. The pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun is in Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a two-piece serial-matching Glock case, extra titanium-nitride coated trigger transfer bar and two (2) 6-round magazines with pinky-extensions.

Our Assessment: Salient Arms International were one of the forerunners creating upgrade packages for striker fired pistols and utility guns like ARs. Salient soon caught the eye of renowned filmmaker, Michael Bay and Salient ARs were even featured in some of the Transformers movies.
