Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “Magnum Research Pillager MN 45/70 Govt”. The underside of the frame is marked “BR05966 / BFR”. The bottom of the barrel is marked “COSMETIC 2ND”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a ramped blade on a ramped base screwed to the barrel. The rear sight is an LPA serrated square notch sight that is fully adjustable for windage and elevation, it is pinned to the top strap. The topstrap has a pair of drilled, tapped, and filled holes. Included are a rail and screws.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is textured black rubber with molded eagles. There are no major defects, just light handling marks. The checkering is strong. There are no rips or tears. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are a few scattered light handling marks. There is a nearly invisible turn line on the cylinder. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder lock-up is good with some light side-to-side movement. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
