Markings: The right side of the barrel is marked “Mountain Lite”, the left is marked “.357 S&W MAGNUM”. The left of the frame has an S&W monogram logo and the serial number, the right side is marked with the four-line marcas registradas. The sideplate has a S&W scandium atom logo and “AirLite / Sc”. The yoke cut is marked with the serial and model numbers. The yoke and sides of the grip frame are marked with inspection marks. The left side of the grip frame is also marked with the serial number.
Barrel Length: 3 1/8”
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramped blade with a red-orange insert pinned to a rise in the serrated barrel rib. The rear sight is a “V”-notch leaf in a standard micrometer click adjustable base screwed to the topstrap. The underside of the topstrap is drilled and tapped for mounting accessories.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are smooth wood with finger grooves. The grips enclose the butt of the grip frame and the backstrap. There is a hole for lanyard loop on the butt of the grip frame but the pin is missing. There are some scattered light handling marks. There are some scattered small light marks through the finish. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in about Fine Plus condition.
Type of Finish: Alloy frame and barrel shroud, gray titanium cylinder.
Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the Electro Chemically Machined rifling is strong. There is no erosion but there is a little depression in one of the grooves, it is not a bulge and appears to just be a small machining imperfection.
Overall Condition: This revolver retains about 97% of its metal finish. The lanyard loop pin is missing from the grip frame. There is a very faint turn-line on the cylinder but it does not go through the finish. There are a few little scuffs and minor scrapes, the most noticeable is on the right side of the barrel shroud at the frame. There are a few scattered minor handling marks. The trigger and hammer have nice color-case which shows only light operational wear. The screw heads are sharp to lightly worn. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver rates in about Fine-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly single and double action. The double action trigger is smooth and the single action crisp. The cylinder lockup has light play side-to-side with no play front-to-rear. We did not fire this gun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: This is an interesting, very light (20.9 oz unloaded) 7 shot revolver in .357 Magnum. It is light enough for backpacking, hiking or any field use where weight is a consideration and seven rounds of .357 Magnum promises to make it a great defensive revolver. It is in Fine-Excellent condition and ready to hit the range, enter your carry rotation or go in the nightstand. Please see our photos and good luck!
